3-D movies, Harry Potter, and Lebron James...what?

Greetings blog world!  It's been awhile since I've blogged, but I am back with a vengeance!  A lot has gone on in the last few months to be worthy of writing about.

3-D Movies.

I admit, the first time I saw a 3D Movie I enjoyed it immensely.  I saw Pixar's UP and was blown away (no pun intended) by the vividness of the colors and how clean the animation was, the new age of movies!  However, Hollywood, precitably, has run away with the 3D insanity, and now is turning movies that weren't shot in 3D, into 3D.  Ugh.

It's already bad enough that movies are $11.00, but I can't imagine spending $14.50 on a regular basis just for the glasses.  And then they make you "recycle" them?  No thanks, I'll keep mine.  It makes me chuckle when I read an article saying "attendance in the movies are down this year."

Hello!  Ever wonder that maybe because it's impossible to see movies with a family? it's a bit pricey! Add on top of that noisy people that can't shut their traps for a few hours or bring their children to a 10:30 p.m., R rated movie and that everything is coming out in 3D with limited non 3D movie times...yeah, it's hard.  Just sayin'!

I have absolutely no segue into this next spot, but Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer looks like complete geek-filled awe inspired greatness.  Just watch. :D

(and yes, I realize the last installment is in 3D...I won't be seeing it in 3D though...)

Finally, I have to put my 2 cents into this..and for the record, I could care less about Basketball..but this whole LeBron James deal is just rediculous.  I find it ABSURD that a BASKETBALL player is making the money he's making, with the drama that is unfolding.  No one remembers what it's like to *play* a sport anymore (except maybe hockey players, who make no money in comparason...)

End rant.
